ABOUT Charlotte J. Walker

I am a tech entrepreneur, a director, mentor and advisor, an environmentalist, and a writer of both fiction and non-fiction. My curiosity, upbringing and heritage infused a multi-faceted and international perspective in my point of view. My journey began in the foothills of New Hampshire where our community leaders were quietly visionary. The residents and our leaders cherished the natural resources and the setting where our town was nestled and took great care to preserve it. It was here that I learned to appreciate community and the environment in addition to my own responsibility in caring for it.

Growing up, my physician father and creative mother led by example with empathy and compassion, originality and creativity. These were learnings that would later serve me well in leadership roles as a two-time CEO and COO, a Director and a founder and mentor. I love identifying the innovators and doers in an organization and helping to unleash their creative energy to align resources that create value, something I have had the privilege to do not just once but repeatedly.

I began my career in enterprise software development at GEISCO, where I learned very deeply how things worked and how to manage. I later was recruited to Wall Street where I became a tech expert at firms such as L.F. Rothschild, Unterberg, Towbin, Bear Stearns & Co., and B.T. Alex. Brown. As time went on I became a Board Chair and CEO of two turnarounds, Martin Simpson & Company and Sanctuary Woods Multimedia Corporation. I then became a co-founder of MOCA Systems, Inc., and the founder of The Seed Fund aka TSF Management, Inc. I currently serve on the boards of companies mostly in the technology sector and I remain president of TSF Management, which now serves as a family office.

Since childhood I have been a writer. Lately I’ve been writing crime fiction and I just recently finished The Laundry Game, a crime fiction novel.

I live in Greenwich, Connecticut. I serve on Boards and Advisory Boards, and I write fiction. I am a member of Sisters in Crime, Woman Owned Greenwich, the Entrepreneur Forum, formerly the MIT Enterprise Forum, and the American College of Corporate Directors. I love writing thrillers. I’m passionate about supporting entrepreneurs, particularly women founders, communities, innovation and small business. I’m also an oceans advocate, and I love to hike, sail, ski, and swim. I graduated from the University of Virginia with a BS and I attended George Washington University where I studied liberal arts.
